Khorramshahr County ( Persian: شهرستان خرمشهر) is in Khuzestan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Khorramshahr. [3]
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the county's population was 155,224 in 32,563 households. [4] The following census in 2011 counted 163,701 people in 42,171 households. [5] At the 2016 census, the county's population was 170,976 in 47,380 households. [2]
After the census, the former Kut-e Sheykh district of the city of Khorramshahr was elevated to the status of the city of Moqavemat. [6]
