Olivia Joanna Bailey (born 1986) [1][ self-published source] is a British Labour Party politician who has been the Member of Parliament for Reading West and Mid Berkshire since 2024. [2] [3]
Bailey had been Chair of the Labour Women's Network, deputy General Secretary of the Fabian Society, and a senior aide to Keir Starmer, before standing as a parliamentary candidate. [3]
Born in Reading to a policeman father and a local teacher mother, Bailey attended Ranelagh School in Bracknell. She graduated from St Hilda's College, Oxford in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Modern History and Politics. [4]
She previously contested the Reading West constituency in 2017 but was unsuccessful. [5] [6] [7]
