Jayne Kirkham is a British Labour Party politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Truro and Falmouth since 2024. [1] [2] She unseated the Conservative incumbent Cherilyn Mackrory. [3] Kirkham is the Labour group leader on Cornwall Council and represents Falmouth Penwerris ward. [4]

She contested the same seat in 2017, tripling the Labour vote and was narrowly defeated by the Conservative candidate Sarah Newton. [5]

Early life

Kirkham graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Southampton in 1994. She then studied at the University of Law. [6]
