Philadelphia Phillies defeat the
Colorado Rockies, 6–5, to temporarily avoid becoming the first MLB team to lose 10,000 games in its history before the 2007 All-Star Break. During the game, the Phillies players all came out and assisted the grounds crew at
Coors Field in placing the tarp over the infield when high winds whipped the tarp out of control, lifting many of the groundskeepers off the ground, some as high as 10 feet (3.0 meters). No one was hurt.
