Abraham Ilyich Fet was a notable Russian mathtematician. 1958-2007.

Abram Ilyich Fet ( Russian: Абрам Ильич Фет) (born December 5, 1924 in Odessa died July 30, 2007 in Novosibirsk) was a Russian mathematician. He is known for his work in topology, unitary symmetries of elementary particles and the theory of elementary particles. Fet proved a classical theorem on “big geodesics”, which implies that the shortest path connecting two points on a sphere is the segment of the circle on the sphere which has the largest diameter.

A.I. Fet was born in Odessa in 1924. At the beginning of the war his family was evacuated to Tomsk. Fet graduated from the mathematics department of Tomsk University and then continued his study in Moscow under the supervision of Lyusternik. He defended his PhD Thesis at Moscow University, and afterwards came back to Siberia. He worked at the Sobolev Institute of Mathematics in Novosibirsk Akademgorodok and taught at Tomsk and Novosibirsk Universities. During that time Fet also actively participated in the conferences of the Helsinki Group and its proceedings. In 1967 together with other scientists he signed several letters concerning certain political events, one of which was a protest against the Soviet occupation of Czechoslovakia. While the other supporters of the latter petition were urged by repressions to publicly withdraw their support, Fet did not do so. As a consequence he was fired from the institute and prohibited from any further teaching activities. During the following years Fet made his living by translations (he was fluent in six foreign languages and translated from twelve). This time he and his family often had not enough money for food, but only his closest friends new about the situation. In 1974, mostly under the influence of his foreign colleagues, the Soviet authorities reappointed Fet to a research position at the institute of mathematics but he was never again admitted to teaching. Still Fet continued his educational activities by organizing free seminars at his apartment.

Fet was one of the few scientists who lived in Akademgorodok and refused the special “doctor’s order” which consisted of products that were not available to the ordinary citizens. Although Fet was one of the founders of the House of Scientists of the academy, he principally refused to visit its restaurant which was open only for the privileged members.

For several years Fet collaborated with a physicist B. Yu. Rumer working on the theory of unitary symmetry of elementary particles. Fet translated to Russian a number of books on history, psychology, economics and sociology. In particular, he translated the works of Konrad Lorenz. During the last years of his life Fet worked on a book "Instinct and social behavior” ( Russian: Инстинкт и социальное поведение) which he considered as the main result of his study of history, ethics and human behavior. The book was published in Novosibirsk shortly before his death.

Anthony Robert Pearson d.26th March 2004. “Anthony Robert Pearson was born on 29th April 1938. After schooling in Newcastle and at Fettes he did National Service in the Life Guards and served in Germany. After National Service he joined the family engineering farm in Wallsend-on-Tyne and remained there until 1988, when he set up his own engineering company which he was still running when he died suddenly at home. He was High Sheriff of Northumberland in 1987 and was a director of Vaux Breweries, Sunderland, for twenty years. He was President of the Coldstream Guards Association (Newcastle) for some years. His interests were the countryside, field sports and military history. He married Ann Craig in 1963, and the couple had three children.”

Anthony Pittarelli is the alter ego of the superhero know as Monster Caesar, a fictional character from the web based comic, Monster Caesar.

Monster Caesar takes place on a post-apocalyptic earth, ravaged by disease and famine. Anthony Pittarelli, like many of the inhabitants of earth is mutated by a virus known as O.M.I.F.. The O.M.I.F virus effects the infected by manifesting into physical form, the child hood memories of the individual. This is thought to be done via breaking of physiological barriers. The method of doing so changes from person to person and in Anthony Pittarelli's case, is activated by the consumption of a dolls head. Upon doing so he is changed into his alter ego known as Monster Caesar.

Monster Caesar poses many abilities, superior strength, nigh-invulnerability, and many more are as of yet not divulged.

Sebastian Bibring Sebastian Bibring (born [[May 16], 1974, is a former professional Volleyball player from Argentina. He is best known for his international career. Recently, Sebastian has been acknowledged contributor to the Sydney Cedars Volleyball club.

Sebastian is an Olympic standard volleyball player, and has had an international career. In the year 1990, he was chosen to be a member of the Argentinean Junior volleyball team, and continued his career in his country of origin for professional team Nautico Hacoaj, and later for the UADE university team, where he was traded to the University of California at a later stage.

Sebastian began playing at the early age of 6 for the same club where he continued
his career for the next 12 years. From mini volleyball he was a promising player,
who developed very good skills in the game. He became an automatic leader of the
team were his experience and aptitude where higher than the rest. Playing on every
national event and participating on many international competitions he gained a lot
of experience which allowed him to be part of the early junior national development
team. Continuing his career in Club Nautico Hacoaj [2]
he always practiced with the older and more experienced teams in the club upto he
formed part of the first division team which reflected the highest standard of volleyball
level in the country.
He then concentrated on his university degree and played for the university where
he started (U.A.D.E) [3] for whom he played for several years,
helping them achieve the most incredible success story while getting from a "social" level
3rd division, to 1st division in the same year, by winning the state competition league,
which allowed the team to play the playoffs of the 2nd division regular season, which
they won and qualified to automatically ascend to first division. This remains the university's
biggest achievement in the sport so far.
In his last year at the university, Sebastian played a full season at the university of
California, Berkeley, [4]
where gain more international experience.
In the year 1999, Sebastian started a work contract in Germany for one of the first SAP consultancy
firms (realtech DE) [5] and got tranferred, as part of his
contract agreement, to the Australian branch in Sydney.
He continued his love for the sport playing for several teams. First Sydney North Volleyball,
[6] then Baulkham Hills Volleyball, where he claimed the top 2nd position
in their first year on the State league of New South Wales [7] and finally for Sydney Cedars [8] where he actively forms
part of the best ranked team in Australia [www.spikemag.com.au] for the last 3 years in a row.
In December 2007, Sebastian was part of the Australian delegation formed by team members
of 3 of the best teams of Australia (Cedars, Melbourne Falcons [9] and Lofty Rangers from Adelaide [10] )
that travelled to Korea to play the World University & Club Championships [11]

This new band was called "THE NEWS". All the band members were lead singers as well as played many instruments, they all did vocal harmonies. They wrote all their original songs. Unlike weekend musicians, they took music very very seriously, they played day and night every single day for years and years. They became popular on three continents(Europe, Africa and the Middle East) before video cameras existed and before the age of the internet. They were simply given the name "THE BEST ROCK BAND IN LEBANON AND THE ENTIRE MIDDLE-EAST", they were also called "THE BEST ARMENIAN ROCK BAND IN THE 1970'S DECADE"! From 1968-1969 they had many 1 songs as well as many hit songs on the Beirut Top 20 charts that were played on the radios, starting with very melodic pop love songs such as "BABY YOU'RE ONLY MINE"(sung by MIKE POSTIAN), "I MISS YOU"(MIKE POSTIAN), "IT'S YOU AGAIN"(MIKE POSTIAN), then other Psychedelic songs followed such as "TODAY-TODAY" and "TAKE ME"(sung by JACK TAMOUKIAN), and in 1969 an Apollo 11 tribute song called "WE COME FROM THE MOON"(all 2 lines sung by all four). Later on their style changed again with the times and they had five more hits with a melodic Hard-Rock love songs such as "I DON'T WANT YOU"(sung by JOHN TASLAKIAN), "IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME"(MIKE POSTIAN), "I CAN LOVE YOU"(JOHN TASLAKAIN), "RUNNING HORSE"(instrumental), and their biggest hit "TEARDROPS"(MIKE POSTIAN). ______________________________________________________ There were also many other songs like "BABY YOU'VE GOT TO KNOW", and "HAPPINESS IS YOUR LOVE", and the first 1970 version of "I DON'T WANT YOU" all(sung by ARA HAJIAN). There were also some great PROGRESSIVE HARD-ROCK songs recorded in PARIS, songs like "DEAD MAN" sung by(JOHN TASLAKIAN), "MASSACRE 1915"(Instrumental) and one of the best songs called "MIGHT IS RIGHT"(sung by JACK TAMOUKIAN). During 1968-1969 they toured all across the Middle East and Africa. In 1970-71 they toured Europe concentrating on ENGLAND. They played at the most prestigeous clubs and performed at open air concerts for thousands of people in England, clubs like "THE MARQUE", "THE STAIRCASE", "THE TEMPLE", "THE COUNTRY CLUB", "THE HATCHETS", "THE DOCHESTER HOTEL", "THE ROUNDHOUSE", "THE LYCEUM", "THE PALLADIUM", open air concerts like "BATTERSEA PARK" and others, as well as The Universities of "OXFORT" and "CAMBRIDGE". ______________________________________________________ "THE NEWS" played on the same stages and on the same nights with some of the best bands at the time, bands like "UFO", "GENESIS", "HAWKWIND", "JUICY LUCY", "WARHORSE", "ARGENT", "ATOMIC ROOSTER", "SPOOKY TOOTH", "ALEXIS KORNER" and many others. They also had an encounter with Legendary drummer "GINGER BAKER" of "CREAM". Their last and biggest concert in ENGLAND was at "BATTERSEA PARK" in London with four other bands, headlining at the time was "JUICY LUCY". This was a charity concert organized by the (B.B.C.) for some 300,000. starving people in Biafra, Nigeria. THE NEWS played their original music which was a "HEAVY PROGRESSIVE-ROCK mixed with ARMENIAN TRADITIONAL FOLK MUSIC, they also used ARMENIAN INSTRUMENTS which quite puzzled, entertained and exhilarated the thousands of British fans. During that concert Ara played the Armenian drums("DAVOUL") & used a metalic ("LEBANESE COFEE GRINGER") as drums to the tunes of Armenian music. During an interview, when ARA HAJIAN the drummer was asked..."what was one of your most memorable moments as a musician"? he replied "The exhilarated roars of the thousands of fans, this great communication between musician and audience". ______________________________________________________ In 1971 and 1972 when THE NEWS returned from a tour, they were given THE ROYAL welcome by large masses of fans at Beirut airport who greeted them with posters and flowers, and took them on a limousine ride around Beirut just like they would a football team who won the countries championship or just like they did with GEORGINA RIZK when she won the miss Universe pagent. ______________________________________________________ In May 1972 THE NEWS gave their biggest concert in Beirut at the prestigeous "PHOENICIA HOTEL" where some 4,5 other bands opened up for them. On stage they were presented to the audience by the 1 composer in LEBANON Mr. ELIAS RAHBANI. THE NEWS ended up playing twice as long that night due to the encore of the fans. Mr. RAHBANI also recorded with THE NEWS with a full orchestra composed of about 30 musicians. ______________________________________________________ THE NEWS were offered contracts by many record labels including "SARAVAH" records, "POLYDOR", "EMI" and "DECCA" records...yes DECCA records who years earlier refused to sign THE BEATLES! During those times THE NEWS were struggling financially and also taking care of their families overseas, always having Visa problems. During the DECCA record period the drummer ARA HAJIAN'S father passed away and ARA himself became very ill. THE NEWS tried to salvage the deal by hiring an English drummer on a short notice, but you cannot replace 4 musicians who grew up together, had a strong musical chemistry and could almost read each others minds musically, to suddenly adjust to a new drummer within weeks, so the entire band returned to LEBANON with ARA. After the 1972 PHOENICIA hotel concert ARA's health did not improve, THE NEWS were inwardly and psychlogically devastated and as JOHN TASLAKIAN put it "the band imploded in the embrio" and in their own minds this could have been the end of the band. ______________________________________________________ Drummer AVO KAYAYAN to the rescue! THE NEWS manager BERJ DAKESSIAN, who was also the manager of the cover band "THE DREAM"(Vache's band), asked AVO KAYAYAN to join THE NEWS so that they may complete their tours. AVO accepted and became the new drummer of THE NEWS from 1972-1975. AVO had a lot of experience in the studio and had worked with ELIAS RAHBANI. He also played the "LEBANESE DERBAKKE". He was a total PROFESSIONAL and a real nice person. Although AVO was a great drummer and had a unique "power beat" rich sounding drum beat and a few other "secret" recipies for drumming(Anything he played sounded Hard Rock)...THE NEWS sometimes made him feel like he was NOT one of the original four. AVO KAYAYAN did save THE NEWS from breaking up and recorded 4 songs on the album "Old wine , new bottles" with them and his 4 songs that he recorded remain some of the most popular songs in peoples minds until today("TEARDROPS"), the version you are hearing right now,("I DON'T WANT YOU"), ("IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME") and ("I CAN LOVE YOU"), not to mention a demo instrumental named("RUNNING HORSE"). ______________________________________________________ One of THE NEWS happiest moments was when they were playing live in NIGERIA and GINGER BAKER( the legendary drummer of CREEM) walked in with a female friend, all dirty, dusty from a rally(Landrover racing in the desert). GINGER liked THE NEWS music very much and they invited him to their apartment after the show to clean up and for some ENGLISH TEA until next morning. GINGER offered THE NEWS to come to his EMI STUDIOS in Nigeria to record on 24 tracks since THE NEWS could only record on a few tracks in Beirut. ______________________________________________________ "THE NEWS" used to make a lot of fashion statements...they used to go to clothing stores and buy unusual clothes and even designed their own clothes which seemed odd to the fashion stores, however they were simply very creative, came up with thier own fashion styles, they wore clothes which no one else wore, they did not look like any other band...as we can see in some of their pictures... So, since they were that good, creative, unique, had all the breaks, the labels...Were decades ahead of their time...WHAT HAPPENED??? Well with all that good luck they also had some bad luck. Although they were very talented musicians, they were 15-16 years old when they started, and business wise they were inexperienced, immature, they had a lot of disagreements among themselves, because of that they blew a few opportunities but the two biggest blows came when 1st ARA got sick and the 2nd one when they decided to go back to ENGLAND again in 1975 to finally explode into world popularity, the 15 year LEBANESE civil war started, shattering many lives and dreams and changing everything. Their career direction was de-railed against their will and the only thing they were thinking about was their survival, both physically and financially and the well being of their families. ______________________________________________________ After AVO KAYAYAN left the band in 1975, THE NEWS never recorded again as a group...however because of their popular name they were still in demand and had many contracts to perform all over the Middle East until 1979. They started to perform both their ORIGINAL songs and COVERS... That's when the original members started leaving the band one by one, and it was downhill after that. From 1975-77 they hired a new drummer by the name of ("KOKO MILOYAN") from a cover band called "PEACE BLIND" (as a session player)and some other musicians, including the popular Armenian singer ("VACHE" from the cover band called "THE DREAM"), who played Bass Guitar for them for a few months. By 1979 only MIKE POSTIAN remained from the original members. ______________________________________________________ In 1979, with civil wars all over the Middle East, THE NEWS broke up and went to the United States, France, England and Australia. The observatory was started in 1998 by Clive Purchase in preparation for the solar eclipse of that year.

It was established at the Roseland Community School in Cornwall and had an array of large telescopes, including a four inch Coheilostat for the study of the Sun. Clive Purchase concentrated on teaching primary schools the basics of astronomy and then bringing the groups to the observatory for night viewing sessions of the night sky.

The observatory carried out an experiments to measure the infrared flux during the eclipse, due to the cloud some unusual results were obtained which are still being researched. The support for this experiment came from the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory.

After the eclipse, Brian Sheen relocated the observatory to its present site of Court Farm, St Stephen in Cornwall

Brian Sheen is Lecturer in Astronomy and Astrophysics at Cornwall College.

Formed in 1969 the monsterous FalconwolF took blues and drumming to a new height. Often in the media for inciting riots and their very public battle with Led Zeppellin over who could be loudest, FalconwolF was all but unheard of after a dissapearance over the "Bermuda Triangle" in 1977. When asked to comment Zepplin frontman Robert Plant was quoted as saying "Fuck those buggers anyhow!". They were never heard from again. But thirty years later their music has sprung up on the internet under a label called Hustler Syndicate Records. The movie begins with Chen Daoming as an ancient king who demonstrates the greatest perseverance in striking back on his enemy, played by the equally famous Hu Jun from Lan Yu. With the top actors from the country in the cast and magnificent war scenes, TV drama Wo Xin Chang Dan follows the downfall and resurgence of the King of Yue (Chen Daoming). He loses to the King of Wu (Hu Jun) who captures him as slave after the battle. The defeated king pretends to submit to his new master and does whatever is ordered, but plans for vengeance secretly. The International Council of Sport Science and Physical Education (French: Conseil International pour l'Education Physique et la Science du Sport) is an organization based in Berlin, Germany which originated in Paris, France in 1958.

Its membership consists of government organization and NGOs who are responsible for sport, sport science, physical education, and sport and recreation in their countries; international sport federations; international organizations in sport science, physical education, recreation, and sport; and research institutes and schools in physical education and sport science.

Comics2Film is a website founded by Rob Worley in 1997. Although the primary focus of the site has been news on comic-book movie adaptations, a community has built up around its Digital Concept Gallery, a collection of comic fanart.

The Tav Chevrati is a certificate displayed in the windows of over 300 Israeli restaurants advertising to potential customers that the establishment meets standards of labour practices. Tav Chevrati is a Hebrew phrase meaning Seal of Social Justice, and was initiated by Bema’aglei Tzedek, a non-profit labour advocacy organization based in Jerusalem.

The symbol was modelled on the Tav Kashrut, a widespread certificate in restaurants signifying that the cuisine has met Jewish kosher laws.

In evolution, the Dobzhansky-Muller Process is a proposal for one mechanism of speciation by postzygotic reproductive isolation.

The model, developed by Theodosius Dobzhansky and Herman Muller, posits that if alellic substitutions spread to fixation in at least two populations of an organism and if a cross of the two alleles results in a marked reduction of fitness in the hybrid, such as sterile, inviable, or lethal phenotypes, then the two populations will be necessarily reproductively isolated.

Pinot is a search system for Linux, FreeBSD and other such modern Unix-like systems, that indexes documents on your computer and on remote systems and monitors them for changes. It enables the user to search documents, chat logs, email and contact lists in a similar way to Beagle (software), Spotlight in Mac OS X, or Google Desktop under Microsoft Windows.

Pinot is (like Beagle and Tracker (software) an open source software desktop search engine meaning all code is covered by the GNU GPL. It uses Xapian.

Voxware MetaSound audio codec

The Voxware MetaSound audio codec is designed for creating low-to-mid bitrate music files and streaming audio, ranging from 6 kbps, 8 kHz, Mono to 96.1 kbps, 44 kHz, Stereo [19]. This codec have TwoCC code 0x0075. Voxware MetaSound audio codec is developed by Voxware, Inc. and based on TwinVQ (transform-domain weighted interleaved vector quantization) core technology from Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corp. [20] [21]. Microsoft has licensed Voxware MetaSound audio compression technologies in 1997 and using it in ASF files [22]. The Voxware MetaSound audio codec require a software security key to use the compression feature [23]. This codec included in K-Lite Codec Pack and RazorBB Codec Pack.

The Voxware MetaSound audio codec is widely used for encoding audio in movies encoded by DivX, Xvid and other MPEG-4 video codecs.

He created American Airlines think tanks that charted world economic, social and political change thru the last millennium.
