Articles for the more popular and "star" players of the league need to be expanded, have citations added to them and hopefully we can get some
GA's out of them.
All articles on active players and coaches need to be updated with stats, news, and all things important. (Note: For stats it's best to use

Also, we NEED to get things done so we can take them off of the to do list.

Our goal is to get the number of Stub-Class articles down to 0, in due time. The current article count is listed below, I have placed the forumla that is on the project page that is updated everytime the bot is run and it tallies up our articles and where they are and lists them as seen below, so that no one has to worry about making sure it's updated manually before the newsletter is sent out. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone could help expand and/or source an article or two. A list is provided in the stub-class category of stub articles that need to be improved, and some should be fairly easy.

The
2008-2009 college football season is in full swing! Teams ranked in the top 25 should have a single-season page or at the very least a separate football page. The rankings page and the overall season page should be kept updated, as should the pages of players of note, particularly Heisman Trophy candidates.
Heading out to a football game? Be sure to carry a camera and get pictures of players, teams, stadiums, and all the action and pageantry of college football. An excellent guide to taking pictures for WP:CFB can be found at

Welcome to the latest issue of the College football WikiProject newsletter! I hope that you're enjoying regular updates about the goings on of college football on Wikipedia, but if not, feel free to add your name to the "no delivery" section on
the newsletter signup page.
I encourage everyone to make regular visits to the
College Football Portal and perhaps make it your Wikipedia entry page instead of using the Main Page as your gateway. Nominations for selected articles and pictures are always welcome, and can serve as a great way to show off that new article you just shepherded to Good Article status or the great picture you took the last time you were at a game.
Comments and suggestions on improving the newsletter are always welcome, and help me improve it on a monthly basis. Keep contributing and editing, and don't hesitate to contact me or post on the

Would love to see the essay get worked up, but as it sits it should likely be deleted or userfied to your user space until it is brushed up for the general population.--

We have now reached our goal of getting the number of Stub-Class articles below 600. The current count is 588. It still would be greatly appreciated if anyone could help expand and/or source an article or two. A list has been placed on the
stub article subpage of stub articles of well-known wrestlers that should be fairly easy to improve.
The
Collaboration has recently been revamped, and we will now have 6 collaborations at a time. The current collaborations will stand until they reach a certain
goal, e.g.
Good article status.

New tables have been added to each team article for coaches. It is broken down into six columns. Column one is for the name of the
head coach. Column two is for the coachs tenure there. Column three is the coaches regular season win/loss record (ONLY while with THAT team). Column four is for the coaches post season win/loss record (ONLY while with THAT team). Column five is for the coaches most recent coaching staff (if the coach is no longer there, list the coaches last coaching staff), with years that the coaching staff members have been there, the term coaching staff ONLY applies to
Offensive Coordinator (to be listed as
OC),
Defensive Coordinator (to be listed as
DC),
Special Teams Coordinator (to be listed as
ST Coordinator),
Fullbacks coach (to be listed as
FB coach),
Linebackers Coach (to be listed as
LB coach),
Offensive line coach (to be listed as
OL coach),
Defensive line coach (to be listed as
DL),
Wide receivers Coach (to be listed as
WR coach),
Defensive backs Coach (to be listed as
DB coach). And coach that coaches multiple positions is to be listed as
QB /
FB coach, with a / between each position. Also, the list should start with Offensive Coordinator, then Defensive Coordinator. Place line break (<br>) after each coaching staff members name, and between coaching positions (should the column become wider than what looks good). Column six is for notes about the head coach during their tenure with that team only. Lastly, be sure not to make the columns too wide, if the column becomes wider than what looks good, place a line break (<br>) in the sentence/note.

Even in the WikiProject Rock newsletter (if you missed even on my talk page) it says that "We all contribed on Crash Underride's sandbox") and as it goes consider it me helping with the creation of the page so it doesn't end up like a stub page with things misplaced or miswritten, but do as you choose, because after all, it is YOUR sandbox, but then again I spotted other edits from other users within the history.

This is a new section in the newsletter to help familiarize project members with the
Manual of Style, which should help them in editing not only professional wrestling articles, but all articles in general.
Avoid using bolding to emphasize text. See
MOS:BOLD for appropriate uses of bold text.
If you do not want your information removed from articles, please use proper grammar and
cite your sources.
Avoid jargon such as
face/babayface,
heel,
turn, etc. in articles. People unfamiliar with professional wrestling will not understand what these words mean. See
WP:JARGON for more information.

The 2009 AFL
Dispersal draft has been
moved from December 2, to December 3. Then, on December 3, it was
announced that the dates for the Dispersal Draft and the beginning of the free-agent signing period had been rescheduled for Tuesday, December 9 and Thursday, December 11, respectively.
It was
announced on December 1, that all 17 AFL teams would be holding offseason player tryouts.
There are rumors
circulating that the AFL could suspend operations for the 2009 season, or fold all together.
The 2009 AFL Dispersal Draft, as well as the start of the free agent signing period, have both been
postponed "until further notice from the league." The
Columbus Destroyers are the holders of the first overall pick in the draft.
On December 15, the AFL Board of Directors
voted to cancel the 2009 AFL season.
ArenaFootball.com counted down the 20 best games in the history of the AFL, as voted by the 20th Season Historical Committee. They are presented as follows:

1987) - In the league’s second game, ever, a thrilling end of regulation leads to the first-ever overtime game. Denver’s Stuart Mitchell hits Durell Taylor with a 39-yard touchdown pass, and Denver’s defense holds Chicago to a stop for the win.
19: Chicago 64,
Washington 61 (
July 16, 1987) - In the AFL’s first season, Washington’s Dwayne Dixon catches an AFL record 20 passes in a loss to Chicago. The stands to this day.

Miami Dolphins 41-38 in

Rolf Benirschke ended the game with a 29-yard
field goal.
January 11,
1987 —
Denver Broncos quarterback
John Elway leads "
The Drive." Losing to the
Cleveland Browns 20-13 with 5:32 left in the AFC Championship Game, Elway leads the Broncos 98 yards on 15 plays to force overtime, then moves Denver 60 yards on nine plays on their first possession of overtime to set up
Rich Karlis' game-winning 33-yard field goal in the Broncos' 23-20 victory.

A lengthy discussion about the use of team logos in different articles is under way, and your help and comments are requested.
