Something is strange with the years in this article. From 1941 to 1944, Latvia was occupied by Nazi Germany. So, Soviet authorities arresting Petrovs in 1942 for critisizing Soviet government in Latvia sounds a bit unlikely. Can anyone cross-check the years? (In principle, it's possible that he was arrested in Soviet Union in 1942 for critisizing the Soviet government that existed in Latvia before Nazi occupation. But that does not sound likely.)
