From the evidence of the name that appears beneath his image on his football card ( [1]), a 1920 team report ( [2]), a newspaper report of him receiving the award of life membership of the Port Adelaide Football Club ( [3]), and some 1945 reminiscences ( [4]) it would certainly seem that James Sinclair Dickson was known as "Sinclair Dickson", rather than "James Sinclair Dickson".
