I think it's too early to nominate this article for GA, since Eurovision 2020 hasn't happened yet. I think it will be better to nominate the article after Eurovision 2020 happens.

"was chosen during Selecția Națională 2020 on 1 March." - state what the Selecția Națională 2020 was for clarity
"final for the second consecutive time." - year
"while Roxen had appearances on several native talk shows and radio stations." - shorter and concise Roxen appeared on several
Background
"Its highest placing in the contest, to this point, has been third place," - in past tense please; had
"As of December 2019, the broadcaster was still discussing the method" - the word "still" is redundant
"been given that time preceding years." - in preceding years.
Artist selection
"On 31 January 2020, TVR has confirmed their collaboration with native label" - the word "has" is unneeded since the event happened in the past
"Furthermore, it has been announced that Liana Stanciu" - same issue as above
"the project has costed TVR a reported €69,000." - had cost TVR
"Having brought together several notable composers such as David Ciente," - the word "notable" is unnecessary
"a songwriting camp was organized in January 2020," - organised
"Global Records's manager Ștefan has announced that a male and two female artists" - you don't need to have the word "has" since the event happened in the past
"and the competing songs released on 21 February." - competing songs were released
"released on 21 February.[14][12]" - the references should be placed in numerical order
Selecția Națională 2020
"Selecția Națională 2020 was the national final format organized by TVR" - organised
"awarded a set of points from 5–0, which was based on each member's individual set of votes from 5–0." - both mentions of "5–0" are better off written as five to zero
"the latter was to previal in case of a tie" - latter would decide the winning song
"Selecția Națională was aired" - shown for variety
"broadcast" seemed like a better choice for me here.
