Edits 30/12/2010
I removed the boundaries info primarily because suburb boundaries occasionally change. In particular, though, I found that the boundaries as described for Richmond were a little inaccurate and mightn't be described with both accuracy and readability.
For the sake of specificity, I tagged the history section for references rather than the whole article. I also note some variations between the history described in the article and as cited
here.
The Residents/Demographics section has been adjusted for the sake of brevity. I think some basic details may be sufficient. The reader can seek further information from the cited source.
The transport section has been structured to provide greater clarity. I am not sure whether to keep route numbers in highlighted text boxes. Personally, I think it is at best unneccessary and at worst a hindrance to readability, but I welcome discussion or correction.
I abbreviated the West Adelaide Football Club info to emphasise the geographic nature of the article. Information about the club's history would be best placed in
West Adelaide Football Club.
I removed the Politics section for three reasons:
We need to find a way to discuss the political nature and structures of and in the suburb without overtly repeating information already mentioned in the infobox.
I note the tabled election results "are from the largest polling station in Richmond — which is located at Tenison Woods Catholic School, on Brooker Terrace". Is there any source more reflective of the entire suburb? What about those residents who voted elsewhere?
More importantly, though, how come the 2010 State Election Results cite a source retrieved in 2008 and dated 2006!? What the...?? And why does the 2007 Federal Election Results cite a source for a different federal division??
Okay, a fourth reason: The information may need to be updated.
The coordinates have been moved to the bottom of the page to ease readability of the first paragraph.
The comment(s) below were originally left at Talk:Richmond, South Australia/Comments, and are posted here for posterity. Following
several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.
dubious –
discuss The last paragraph on the page which claims " In 2008 Richmond was voted as Adelaide's most liveable suburb.." is not verified with a citation.
The suburb may very well have been listed as livable, but until it can be verified, I've simply tagged the offending section as a way to advise the reader of the status of the claim. It also serves as a filler for the Community section until further details are added.--
