This article was the subject of an
educational assignment in Spring 2015. Further details were available on the "Education Program:University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill/CCO History 140 - The World Since 1945 (Summer 2015)" page, which is now unavailable on the wiki.
Outline of Proposed Changes: To further the information for this article, I plan to expand on the plot summary of the film. I will also provide a historical context that mentions Australia's War during 1939-1945, the Sumatra internment camp, the Japanese during World War II, and a background on the women who were imprisoned at Sumatra. I intend to connect the historical context to the film's underlying themes. I plan to look more into the production of the film during 1997.
