The southwestern peninsula seems to have left the island. The new name is Юрий Кучиев [1], the Ossetian arctic explorer that used a nuclear icebreaker ( Arktika) to reach the north pole as the first surface vessel in the world. -- Hardscarf ( talk) 20:37, 4 January 2009 (UTC) reply
