This list does have defined membership criteria, and a reasonable chance of being maintainable. 5000 is an arbitrary number, but is recognised as a significant achievemnet for a batsman. Here is a better set of data, but I don't presently have time to format it properly for the page. I captured it from the referenced website, pasted it into Excel for sorting, then dumped the batting-related columns here. --
