There seems to be some confusion over the name of the airline. Kolavia appear to have owned the aircraft, but Kogalymavia were the operators.

Some nice progress now, at least. However, the "34 people were hospitalized; 32 with injuries from smoke inhalation and two with burns" part needs another source; the current one does not cover that.

Conflicting reports
As usual, there are conflicting reports about this accident. Did the a/c take-off and suffer a flame-out or was there a fire while taxying. Was it 116 passengers and 8 crew or 117 passengers and 18 crew?
My gut feeling is that the latter case is correct in both scenarios. Fire whilst taxying is borne out by eyewitnesses (BBC source). 8 crew minus 2 (3?) flight crew doesn't leave many cabin crew at all. Source for 117/18 is a Russian ministry, so it should be reliable enough.
Like you say, Mjroots, this is a pattern known and expected from any recent aircraft accidents/incidents. For example, when Air France Flight 447 crashed, they were not entirely sure whether the people in the plane had died. Regarding Kolavi Flight 348, hopefully things will be sorted out later.

I've rewritten the article as it is now clear that the fire occurred during taxy for take-off. The aircraft did not take-off and return to Surgut.

Also the translation seems to have mixed up ft and metres. In any case, weather seems to have been irrelevant to this accident, so I removed the entire METAR.

I've reverted the deletion of sourced info. AFAIK, Russia uses metres for aviation purposes. The figure 784 may well be a misprint for 984, but we go with what the source says.
