Crew etc.
The article
presently says there were 21 passengers, and hints that there was also Captain George Martin. Do we have a source for the size of the crew? Did it include the captain's family? --

Hi
ScottDavisBound for South Australia says "Together with the South Australian Company’s other officers and servants, the John Pirie’s crew was considered to be an addition to the colony’s population, so those eligible are named in the ‘Register of Emigrant Labourers’ as well as the Directors’ Minutes, which recorded all engagements", and lists a total of 29 people, including children, with separately listed officers and crew), although I'm not clear on the deserters and replacements, and one died. However,
SLSA's list says 28 passengers (23 adults, 5 children) at the top, but then further down says 10 crew and a total of "24 souls"?? And here's
Another list. (I haven't compared all of the names in the various sources.)
