I can bring out several other sources to back that statement (which, in itself, should not be controversial -
conspiracy theory aside). This brings forth another issue I notice for now: in his 2005 book,
Adrian Cioroianu indicates that Vass was the Romanian equivalent of a Holocaust survivor, having spent the war years in
Transnistria, and that she subsequently represented a faction of Antonescu's former prisoners inside the Communist Party (page 52). Another minor issue I note for now is that we should indicate somewhere that Vass was also known as "Gizela Vas", "Gizela Vass" and "Ghizela Vas", although one cannot be sure if they are all proper variants or mistakes. I'm willing to add these details and more in the near future, if you guys have no objection.
