It should be "Footballer of the Year in Russia", not "Russian Footballer of the Year". The point is the place he plays, not his nationality.

Oppose as proposed. The proposal doesn't change the primary topic for the title "Footballer of the Year in Russia", and the primary topic doesn't need a parenthetical qualifier. If the proposal is that there is no longer a primary topic, that should be made explicitly. --

There's a misconception: I didn't decide there was a primary topic. I merely discovered the arrangement where there was a primary topic (that is, a base name led to an article) except that it had a parenthetical qualifier. I fixed it (see
WP:PRECISION). The proposal here is to change from a primary topic to no primary topic. I have no opinion on that, and if the move request is instead to move this back to a qualified title and also replace the base name with a disambiguation page, cheers if it succeeds. But my "moving back" wouldn't solve that, since that would simply restore the previous erroneous arrangement. --

Support move back. Football weekly is the oldest edition about football in Russia. Despite of creative crisis, the "Football" version has more rights to called without name specification than the version of Sport-Express. But Sport-Express is also popular, so
Footballer of the Year in Russia must be disambig.--
