Should Australia be linked? response - I think of this as far too common a word to link and tend to not link in in geographic articles. both the state (Tasmania) and nearest large city (Launceston) are linked.
The town is in the Chudleigh Valley "is located" response - got to say no on this. The word located is redundant as "is in" and "is located in" have the same meaning.
