Balius Guérin 1857 (a
handsome fungus beetle) is the replacement name for Olenus Dejean, 1835 n.n. ex Thomson, 1857, because the latter is a junior homonym of Olenus Dalman, 1927 (a trilobite).[1][2] Both its species, B. minimus and B. longanimis were later included in the genus Trycherus.[3]
