Comes down to, what might be pronounced one way in one part of the country is different in a different part - mainly because I think the Aboriginal dialects they originate from are different. For example "Karrinyup" in Perth which some might think to be kuh-RIN-yup is actually CARR-uh-nup (like the word "carry"), noting the silent "y". That's why the local knowledge is so important on Wiki :) I put the IPA accent on the middle syllable btw. Orderinchaos 00:57, 17 October 2007 (UTC) reply
