Somebody rightly noticed that Oana Pantelimon's bronze medal in high jumping is not accounted for on the IOC website despite having the same mistakes than her opponent, the Swedish Kajsa Bergqvist. That's right, the IOC does not count her in because Bergqvist attempted twice to pass 2.03 m, while Pantelimon stopped at 2:01. If you account that bronze, the medal table should go 11 Golds, 6 Silvers and 9 Bronzes (not Eight).
Romania, indeed, always according to Olympic.org, hase won Bronzes in: 1) Artistic Gymnastics, floor exercises, Simona Amanar; 2) Athletics, 1500m, Gabriela Szabo; 3) Boxing welterweight, Dorel Simion; 4) Canoe/Kayak Fl C2 500m, Florin Popescu/Mitica Pricop; 5) Canoe/Kayak Fl K4 500m women; 6) Judo, 78kg, Simona Marcela Richter; 7) Shooting, 25m rapid fire pistol, Iulian Racea; 8) Swimming, 400m individual medley, Beatrice Caslaru.
Therefore, if Pantelimon should be considered a bronze, Romania goes to 9 Bronzes. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Madarts ( talk • contribs) 16:16, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
Russian language version of this article is the only one, I think, which provides order of finish beyond the first three. This proves to be an obviously superior way to represent results in the encyclopedia, in light of Marion Jones pending disqualification and resequencing of finishes in 5 competitions. I think that the English Wikipedia should adopt this method, if only to allow ascertaining medal finishes after future revelations in doping scandals. -- Mareklug talk 23:39, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

This page should also have the results as of the end of the Olympics, as a contrast to the results post revokations, including the medals table. 70.51.9.226 ( talk) 05:26, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
the IOC has announced that the US team has to give up their medals. the table is messed though...and harder to edit. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.193.113.66 ( talk) 17:03, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
On this page, the winning 4x400m relay squad for women is given as Jearl Miles-Clark, Monique Hennagan, LaTasha Colander, and Andrea Anderson. However, on this page, what is presumably supposed to be the same team is listed as, Jearl Miles Clark, Monique Hennagan, Marion Jones, and LaTasha Colander. I think the problem is that the first page lists the squad that competed in the heat, but I'm no expert on this and do not have the resources to confirm the result. It will need to be checked and corrected because one of those pages is in error. Cottonshirt τ 07:21, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
