In Greek mythology, Scarphe was possibly the mother by Aeson, King of Iolcus, of Jason [1] and possibly Promachus (Jason's brother). [2] In some accounts, she was called Arne; [1] Alcimede, daughter of Phylacus; [3] Polymede [4] ( Polymele [5] or Polypheme [6]), daughter of Autolycus; Amphinome; [7] Rhoeo [8] or Theognete, daughter of Laodicus.
