In Greek mythology, Theognete was the daughter of Laodicus. By Aeson, King of Iolcus, she was the mother of Jason [1] and possibly Promachus (Jason's brother). [2] In some accounts, she was called Arne; [3] Alcimede, daughter of Phylacus; [4] Polymede [5] ( Polymele [6] or Polypheme [1]), daughter of Autolycus; Amphinome; [7] Rhoeo [8] or Scarphe. [3]
