East Woody Island (Yolŋu: Dhamitjinya [1]), is an island in Australia. [2] It is located in East Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory. The closest town is Nhulunbuy. [3] [4] A sand spit connects the island to the Australian mainland. [5]
