I put construction tags for a reason. I wasn't done. Uhtregorn ( talk) 00:32, 2 December 2022 (UTC)
...The Philly Young Communist League wholly rejects the reactionary ideas of anti-woke “Marxists” such as Caleb Maupin and his CPI or Haz and his Infrared following. We honor the legacy and contributions of past Communist leaders such as William Z. Foster and Claudia Jones in our analysis of class struggle and politicized identities.[1] - That is the only mention of Maupin in the source. It doesn't mention anything about his work on "police brutality to the evils of capitalism", nor would this source be usable to demonstrate notability.
While I am not disputing that this page likely still has more progress for it to go mainspace, I removed a few paragraphs that had been added to the draft. They were rather POV additions, added by a user now blocked for sock puppetry, using unreliable or no sources. Uhtregorn ( talk) 21:35, 14 September 2023 (UTC)
A case in point, according to Maupin, is the upcoming "Rage Against The War Machine" rally, set for Sunday, February 19, in Washington, DC at the Lincoln Memorial. The rally is expected to bring together a very broad political spectrum of those who vociferously denounce Washington's "war lobby" and argue that "not one more penny" should be spend on Ukraine. Caleb Maupin's organization, the Center for Political Innovation, is a sponsor of the rally. However, it has found itself targeted by a "despicable" Internet smear campaign, he said, with algorithms rigged to promote the onslaught. However, the monopoly on anti-war rallies, according to Caleb Maupin, is gradually being broken by forces that represent the broader opinion. It makes sense that people who are opposed to these wars might come to things from a more right-wing or a libertarian perspective, the analyst insisted, especially after the mainstream left "has broken with any anti-war sentiment."

Maupin worked for RT [4]
In 2020, Maupin founded the Center for Political Innovation (CPIUSA), [4]
which sought to "bring together" the "left and the right" to oppose war [5]
In 2023, the Chinese Communist Party outlet Global Times interviewed Maupin and described CPIUSA as an American anti-war organization. [6]
Speakers at CPIUSA events include Jackson Hinkle, [7] [8] Max Blumenthal, [8] George Galloway, [8] Joti Brar of the Communist Party of Great Britain (Marxist-Leninist) [8] [9] and Kalambayi Andenet of the African People's Socialist Party. [10] [11]
Yes, I identify as a Marxist-Leninist.
Caleb Maupin is a radical journalist and political analyst who lives in New York City. Originally from Ohio, he studied political science at Baldwin-Wallace College. In addition to his journalism, analysis, and commentary, he has engaged in political activism. He is a youth organizer for the International Action Center and was involved in the Occupy Wall Street movement from its planning stages in August 2011. He has worked against police brutality, mass incarceration, and imperialist war. He works to promote revolutionary ideology, and to support all who fight against the global system of monopoly capitalist imperialism.
On Thursday, the account of journalist and political analyst Caleb T. Maupin was shut down by PayPal with no explanation. Maupin published a screen shot of the notice he received that said, "You can no longer use PayPal" and tweeted, "I am banned from PayPal." Maupin, who identifies himself as a socialist, has written for RT America and is the publisher of the Center for Political Innovation, an organization that says it is for "building socialism in America." Due to his prior affiliation with RT (Russia Today), Maupin's Twitter account has been labeled with the message, "Russia state-affiliated media."
The rally, which was moderated by Angela McArdle of the Libertarian Party and Nick Brana of the "People's Party," was sold as an opportunity by the organizers and the speakers to "bring together" the "left and the right" to oppose war. In fact, there was no left-wing perspective; the political direction was provided entirely by the right.
