Anna Suvorova was born in Perm,
USSR. She studied Theory and
History of Art at The Russian Academy of Arts in Saint Petersburg, and later at
Helsinki University, Tallinn University, Bard-college
In 2000s-2010s Anna Suvorova was working in Perm State
Gallery and Museum of Contemporary Art PERMM (Head of Exhibition Department and Science Department). Co-founder and scientific director of
Museum of Soviet Naive Art. Anna Suvorova was a curator of more than 50 exhibition in Perm State Gallery, Museum of Contemporary Art PERMM, Museum of Soviet Naive Art, etc.
She is a full
Professor at the Herzen University and the National Research University Higher School of Economics. Visiting Professor at the
School of Advanced Studies.[1].

Anna Suvorova's key areas of scientific research are Outsider
Art and Naive Art, the discourse-
analysis of various complex phenomena of art, as well as phenomena of Modern Art in the perspective of gender
studies, the discourse of
power, in the context of theories of posthumanism. Her studies are dedicated to Outsider Art in psychiatric discourse, Visionary Art, Avant-Garde Art (Expressionism and Surrealism)[2][3][4] and philosophy.[5]
Anna Suvorova research Soviet and Russian Outsider Art,[6] its connections with the context of psychiatry and ideologies,[7] collections of Art Brut and Outsider Art[8][9][10]. Anna Suvorova's
books and monographic articles are dedicated to Alexander Lobanov[11], Alex Xatkevich, Vladimir Zoroastrov and others. Anna Suvorova studies Soviet Naive Art in the perspective of discourse analysis.[12] The most significant articles dedicated to Soviet Naive Art and the
phenomenon of collective memory, the construction of identities, and ideological narratives.
