This category was created as a result of an unsuccessful proposal ( see here) to merge the categories of "Russian immigrants", "Soviet immigrants" and "Imperial Russian immigrants" to a specific country into a single category of "Russian and Soviet immigrants" to that country. At the time, there was only one category of such immigrants to Romania, the sister category Category:Imperial Russian immigrants to Romania. However, following a review, it would appear that certain of the articles in that category more correctly belonged to this category. Davshul ( talk) 21:11, 3 March 2010 (UTC) reply
