Arallu ( Persian: آراللو) [a] is a city in Hir District, Ardabil County, Ardabil province, Iran. [4]
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the population was 2,276 in 448 households, when it was the village of Aralluy-e Bozorg in Fuladlui-ye Shomali Rural District. [5] The following census in 2011 counted 2,567 people in 655 households. [6] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 2,650 people in 727 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district. [2]
In July 2019, Aralluy-e Bozorg, after merging with the village of Aralluy-e Kuchek, became the new city of Arallu. The capital of the rural district was moved to Khalilabad. [4]
