Machine translation, like
DeepL or
Google Translate, is a useful starting point for translations, but translators must revise errors as necessary and confirm that the translation is accurate, rather than simply copy-pasting machine-translated text into the English Wikipedia.
Do not translate text that appears unreliable or low-quality. If possible, verify the text with references provided in the foreign-language article.

The town was named after the nearby
Aprelevka River. While the name is quite similar to the Russian word "апрель" (April), it bears no etymological connection to it. Rather, it is derived from the word "прель", meaning a "damp place" or a "bog".[8]
Aprelevka's most notable industry was the
Soviet Union's largest plant producing
vinyl discs, which was founded in 1910 by three
German businessmen: Gottlieb Moll, his son Johann, and August Kybarth. There is also a chemical plant in the town.
