Mohamed Morsi, is sentenced to 20 years in prison for his role in the arrest and torture of protesters during his tenure as President.[15][16]

Russia disintegrates over northern Sinai, killing all 224 people aboard. Local ISIL branch, Sinai Province, take responsibility for the destruction of the plane.
