This task force has been created to help co-ordinate work on articles relating to Valve Software, of which quite a large amount are in a terrible state at present. -- Sabre ( talk) 16:54, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
I Copyedited the Team Fortress classic article. Don't Stone me if I made a mistake, it's my first wiki edit. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gravelz ( talk • contribs) 15:57, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
Why is it part of this task force? -- Mika1h ( talk) 23:23, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
This article is desperate need of more info. This article should be FA by now. It has no gameplay or no information about the game whatsoever. Can article have a complete revamp?. -- SkyWalker ( talk) 05:34, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
I was going through the article and found very little information on the article. Three have been some readers who've commented that they want some more information about the game. I'll be willing to help putting in more information. By the way, Are cheats needed in the article?(There was a comment on that). Gideon Wanna talk? 07:40, 17 February 2014 (UTC)
The article entitled Half-Life: Uplink (film) is being considered for deletion. I understand that this article is not under this task force, and I also understand that it is an unofficial part of the Half-Life canon, and is not endorsed by Valve. However, since it is related to Half-Life, I thought it would be worth notifying this task force, as it probably has members on it who are interested in all general apsects of Half-Life. Thank you for reading. OpenSeven ( talk) 00:02, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
Right now the articles/categories/lists are mixed between "Half-Life 2 mods" and "Source engine mods". "Half-Life 2 mods" was the status quo from a while ago before the mods started being for the Source engine, not just Half-Life 2. Should the remaining usage of "Half-Life 2 mods" be converted? If so should a Source engine category be created to separate Half-Life 2 articles from the mods/technologies? BJ Talk 19:23, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
Steamworks is becoming very popular for PC games, most of the major 2010 PC titles are using it. So I feel it's about time for a list, similar to the "List of games with DirectX 11 support" style. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_games_using_Steamworks
Just a suggestion, but maybe we should cover Mods for the games as well? Example, Garrys Mod. I want to make this project my main focus so i'll definitely work on adding them to our coverage if necessary. Catch me on my talk page if you need anything. G. Fire ( talk) 21:28, 20 September 2010 (UTC)
Attention, all contributors to the Valve Task Force and the articles it constitutes!
I am here to announce that I will be re-vitalizing the
Valve Task Force, aimed at universally improving articles constituting
Valve Corporation, their employees, associates and products. This specific task force has been dormant for quite some time and with two very notable releases coming out this year, I feel like this is the appropriate time to re-stimulate the general aim of this group. For those who are not already members of the Valve Task Force, feel free to add your name to our
members list and contribute to whatever articles you feel your contributions may prove beneficial for. Valve, its products and notable employees have proven to be essential to the progression of the video game industry, so I'd like to make a call of arms for this cause.

Why is Defense of the Ancients in the article list? It is NOT a valve project or game. — Gmt2001 ( talk) 13:29, 3 March 2013 (UTC)

The article Half-Life TV has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your
edit summary or on
the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the
proposed deletion process, but other
deletion processes exist. In particular, the
speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and
articles for deletion allows discussion to reach
consensus for deletion.

Hello everyone, I've gone through most Valve games and tried to improve their infoboxes, categorization, and other, more minor things. I also created a page for Half-Life: Source, seeing as I felt that it was a notable-enough title to receive it's own article. In recent months its been ported to OS X and Linux and also received various updates which included support for the Oculus Rift, HD texture packs, and various other improvements. I also made a Deathmatch section in the Valve games template and added Half-Life Source to the Valve and Half-Life templates. I hope these edits are considered helpful, as I feel that these games deserve proper Wikipedia coverage.

I wanted to suggest, based on the Nintendo task force to-do list, an update to our to-do list which is much better organized than the previous version. Thoughts on this? The current "tasks" header would remain, but with only the "Merge" section having any content right now. We can add others like "split", "verify", "requests", etc. to the Tasks template if articles that would fit under them come up.

Hey everyone, I made a redesign for the Valve Task Force at my Sandbox page. I still need to add back the Guidelines, Articles, and finish up some minor things, but for the most part it's pretty much functional. The members list is there, but I've commented it out to avoid sending out a bunch of notifications to users. I'll gladly take feedback, I'm not 100% sure about the shades of orange I chose and I think there are undoubtedly more improvements to be made. I'm planning on trying to make a new logo for the Task Force as well, but that won't be for a few days.
Thoughts, User:DarthBotto, since you seem to be one of the only other frequent contributors to the project?

I've
proposed a comprehensive cleanup of
WP:VG's inactive task forces (which would include redirecting all task force talk pages, including this one), if you'll take a look czar

This place seems pretty dead, anyone still active around here? :/ I joined before I realized that it hadn't been active in a while, but I've still done some work on some Valve related articles. -- LichWizard talk 21:05, 23 May 2018 (UTC)
