I've tried to access Andriasang several times over the past few days, and all I see (outside the archived links) is a "Welcome to nginx" screen. This means that virtually all of the links to the site I used for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII and Characters of the Final Fantasy XIII series, and another link on Bravely Default: Flying Fairy, are useless. Is this just a hiccup, or is the site finally dead? This needs working out, to see if the info they contain can be salvaged for the articles in question. -- ProtoDrake ( talk) 18:53, 1 October 2013 (UTC)
The main page says to add my name to the month's roll call after I sign up; it doesn't look like there is a roll call for this month, so I'll put it here for the time being. I look forward to being a part of this project and hope to be helpful. I apologize, too, if this isn't the way I'm supposed to do this; please enlighten me so I don't make the mistake again. I have just placed Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII up for peer review. If anyone has any good suggestions for improving the article, please share them here: Wikipedia:Peer review/Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII/archive1. -- ProtoDrake ( talk) 23:04, 30 October 2013 (UTC)
All articles relating to Final Fantasy XIII are now up for Good Topic review. Your opinions and thoughts would be much appreciated by both PreN and me, who ahd done a large amount of the work to get them up to this point. -- ProtoDrake ( talk) 10:27, 5 December 2013 (UTC)
i was looking around and found these ultimanias for the 25th anniversary. it's a 3 volume set containing the most of the main series. i'll link them here incase someone is willing to buy them for the sake of references (or personal indulgent). [1] [2] [3]
Hope these have valuable information that we haven't seen before. Lucia Black ( talk) 20:41, 9 December 2013 (UTC)
Hello all. As many of us have known, G-Zay ( talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) has been banned for misrepresenting sources in BLPs and also Square Enix and Final Fantasy related articles. In an effort to file an edit filter request or a long-term abuse report, I am compiling an evidence page at User:Sjones23/G-Zay for further evidence. Input from project members would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Lord Sjones23 ( talk - contributions) 02:54, 10 January 2014 (UTC)
How about we see what needs to be done to make this a featured article again. I did some major work on the plot section, which was the thing that seemed to be really bringing it down. But what else do you think needs doing? -- ProtoDrake ( talk) 11:28, 3 February 2014 (UTC)
The article currently uses the Famicom cover art. However, WP:WikiProject Video Games prefers generally first English releases for English readers. I plan to have File:Final Fantasy III Nintendo DS.jpg (the first English cover) undeleted. But I am discussing it here instead beforehand. -- George Ho ( talk) 22:40, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
Would you be interested in participating in a user study? We are a team at University of Washington studying methods for finding collaborators within a Wikipedia community. We are looking for volunteers to evaluate a new visualization tool. All you need to do is to prepare for your laptop/desktop, web camera, and speaker for video communication with Google Hangout. We will provide you with a Amazon gift card in appreciation of your time and participation. For more information about this study, please visit our wiki page ( http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Research:Finding_a_Collaborator). If you would like to participate in our user study, please send me a message at Wkmaster ( talk) 06:18, 20 February 2014 (UTC).
This is an alert to video game and Square Enix wiki-projects. Andriasang is working again, for how long I don't know. If there is anything there you want that's not archived, archive it quickly before the site goes down again. -- ProtoDrake ( talk) 13:45, 21 February 2014 (UTC)
As of January, the popular pages tool has moved from the Toolserver to Wikimedia Tool Labs. The code has changed significantly from the Toolserver version, but users should notice few differences. Please take a moment to look over your project's list for any anomalies, such as pages that you expect to see that are missing or pages that seem to have more views than expected. Note that unlike other tools, this tool aggregates all views from redirects, which means it will typically have higher numbers. (For January 2014 specifically, 35 hours of data is missing from the WMF data, which was approximated from other dates. For most articles, this should yield a more accurate number. However, a few articles, like ones featured on the Main Page, may be off).
Web tools, to replace the ones at tools:~alexz/pop, will become available over the next few weeks at toollabs:popularpages. All of the historical data (back to July 2009 for some projects) has been copied over. The tool to view historical data is currently partially available (assessment data and a few projects may not be available at the moment). The tool to add new projects to the bot's list is also available now (editing the configuration of current projects coming soon). Unlike the previous tool, all changes will be effective immediately. OAuth is used to authenticate users, allowing only regular users to make changes to prevent abuse. A visible history of configuration additions and changes is coming soon. Once tools become fully available, their toolserver versions will redirect to Labs.
If you have any questions, want to report any bugs, or there are any features you would like to see that aren't currently available on the Toolserver tools, see the updated FAQ or contact me on my talk page. Mr.Z-bot ( talk) (for Mr. Z-man) 05:28, 23 February 2014 (UTC)
I have just created a page for the Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster. It needs work, and plenty of it over the coming months. It still needs a gameplay section (however small), proper expansion of the plot section when the time comes, and full coverage of its reception. This is just a friendly alert to the Square Enix WikiProject. -- ProtoDrake ( talk) 22:50, 3 March 2014 (UTC)
With the FL pass of List of Chocobo media, we now have reached another of our goals: all of the Square Enix lists are featured! -- Pres N 07:24, 9 March 2014 (UTC)
Long interview with the producers of these 3 games. Didn't feel like cross-posting on all 3 talk pages, so I put it here. Enjoy! Axem Titanium ( talk) 15:18, 10 March 2014 (UTC)
I have been working on Localization of Square Enix video games. I would like someone to have a look at this article and see whether it merits being upgraded from its current article class, considering its high importance to the article. I do not feel I should do it myself as I have been doing the edits and could be biased. -- ProtoDrake ( talk) 16:26, 11 April 2014 (UTC)
For those who haven't seen, we're having a task force consolidation talk at WT:VG. It's completely separate from your project's discussions, but I wanted to at least suggest that if merging WPSE into a WPVG task force was on your mind, now might be a good time to discuss it while the other changes are happening. No response necessary—just FYI czar ♔ 21:16, 10 May 2014 (UTC)
I'm sorry if this has been asked previously, but I was just wondering if KH13.com could be used for RS transcriptions? I know it is a fan site/forum, but they have two transcriptions of interviews done by Tai Yasue for
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix at E3.
Here and
Here. The first is in Japanese, so I was wondering if I could cite it as |publiser=Dengeki Online via KH13
The Square Enix Presents video has not been published by Square Enix themselves yet, but I would also use the same code for that once it has. Thanks for the help. -

Hi all,
My name is Adi Khajuria and I am helping out with Wikimania 2014 in London.
One of our initiatives is to create leaflets to increase the discoverability of various wikimedia projects, and showcase the breadth of activity within wikimedia. Any kind of project can have a physical paper leaflet designed - for free - as a tool to help recruit new contributors. These leaflets will be printed at Wikimania 2014, and the designs can be re-used in the future at other events and locations.
This is particularly aimed at highlighting less discoverable but successful projects, e.g:
• Active Wikiprojects: Wikiproject Medicine, WikiProject Video Games, Wikiproject Film
• Tech projects/Tools, which may be looking for either users or developers.
• Less known major projects: Wikinews, Wikidata, Wikivoyage, etc.
• Wiki Loves Parliaments, Wiki Loves Monuments, Wiki Loves ____
• Wikimedia thematic organisations, Wikiwomen’s Collaborative, The Signpost
For more information or to sign up for one for your project, go to:

Hi, everyone. I'm thinking about taking Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII to FA status. If anyone wants to help me, please do so. Thanks, Lord Sjones23 ( talk - contributions) 18:33, 14 June 2014 (UTC)
Final Fantasy XIII and its related articles are currently up for FTC. It already has one support. Further input is needed. Thank you. -- ProtoDrake ( talk) 12:17, 18 June 2014 (UTC)

Hey people! User:Judgesurreal777 here, sorry I have been less active (and I'm so sorry about the GA nominations I left, I didn't take them down because I kept promising myself I would finish them and then User:PresN saved the day for most of them. I can't give him and User:ProtoDrake and others enough Barnstars for their work over the last year!). I wanted to suggest that we work together to get Final Fantasy XIV to GA status as it would revive our Featured Topic, and that would be awesome since it would link to the soon to be approved Good Topic of Final Fantasy XIII!! (Everyone PLEASE go review to nomination, it needs more to have a final decision! :) ). Years ago, we would tag team articles to get them to Featured Article Status, and although most of you are now champions of FA on your own, it would be fun to work together on the same article again as we did way back in the old days of the 2000's. I need help. I'm looking for details from the review for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII for said article. The only place I've found translated information from it is on a fansite, who got it from an unofficial translation from a tumblr blog. Could anyone provide me with the page number of the review and any information concerning what the reviewers said from the issue stated in the section title. -- ProtoDrake ( talk) 16:32, 6 July 2014 (UTC)
I've had a look at this article, and am not entirely convinced that there's enough substance to justify its split from the main Characters article for VIII. I had a look round to try and provide references for the section on the character's creation, but there was very little, and some of the information there didn't seem to exist in any form. My suspicion meter is flashing faintly. Opinions? -- ProtoDrake ( talk) 12:26, 27 July 2014 (UTC)
It isn't dedicated reception, though. I opened a thread about this at Talk:Characters_of_Final_Fantasy_VIII#Proposed_merge_with_Rinoa_Heartilly because I could use some help expanding the section in the character list either way. czar 20:23, 6 February 2016 (UTC)
Hello there! As you may already know, most WikiProjects here on Wikipedia struggle to stay active after they've been founded. I believe there is a lot of potential for WikiProjects to facilitate collaboration across subject areas, so I have submitted a grant proposal with the Wikimedia Foundation for the "WikiProject X" project. WikiProject X will study what makes WikiProjects succeed in retaining editors and then design a prototype WikiProject system that will recruit contributors to WikiProjects and help them run effectively. Please review the proposal here and leave feedback. If you have any questions, you can ask on the proposal page or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you for your time! Harej ( talk) 15:18, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
Two articles relating to the XIII series require input. The first is the article for central character Lightning, which is currently undergoing featured article review. I am sincerely hoping that it won't go the same direction as the Squall Leonhard nomination, instead being able to join the other... six featured character articles. The other is Music of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, which recently passed GA review and is now nominated for adding to both the Music of the Final Fantasy series and Final Fantasy XIII GTs. Comments and opinions are requested, needed and greatly appreciated. -- ProtoDrake ( talk) 15:51, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
Hi, there is currently a discussion taking place at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Video games#VG comments subpages regarding whether it would be acceptable to permanently shift all comments subpages associated with WP:VG articles into talk. This shift would follow the recommended approach given at WP:DCS. The WikiProject Square Enix articles that would be affected by this action are these:
If you have objections related specifically to WikiProject Square Enix's use of these subpages, please make this clear at the discussion so that other unrelated talk pages can be cleaned up where appropriate. Thank you. - Thibbs ( talk) 15:52, 16 October 2014 (UTC)
Ever since the original Japanese release of Final Fantasy (1987), subsequent games have use both English and Japanese titles, like FF7 and FF10. Even though there is the Project's guideline, I don't think it as totally absolute. Wouldn't changing to Japanese cover arts on PlayStation games be cooler for English readers? -- George Ho ( talk) 02:24, 20 October 2014 (UTC)
If we can't use Japanese cover arts, shall we use North American (NTSC) or European/Australian (PAL) editions? PAL ones are almost closer to the original Japanese cover arts minus Japanese titles. -- George Ho ( talk) 06:58, 31 October 2014 (UTC)
Page move is proposed; discuss it there by clicking above. -- George Ho ( talk) 03:54, 5 November 2014 (UTC)
