The proposed structures only relate to articles about singers or bands. Might we not also want structures for articles about genres and liturgical forms?-- Mockingbird0 ( talk) 18:23, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
I had not read this page before (I don't know why), but I noticed a couple of things I want to bring up.
First, in the infobox guideline it has: "born = {{birth date..." That's the old way. If you look at Template:Infobox musical artist you'll see it's now: "birth_date = | birth_place =" And this way you don't need to put < br > after the {{birth date...
It's good to have a WikiProject for Christian music (I'm now a member), but why do we need a infobox guideline for Christian music when there's already one for all musical artists?
The other thing is: there's a section heading here called "Musical career"; this grammatically incorrect. It should simply be "Music career" (or just Career). There are many things that can be called musical, but a career is not one. -- Musdan77 ( talk) 01:04, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
I see that someone above noted that the structures do not cover genres, but I feel that this topic will need a seperate section to discuss it in. My biggest gripe with the Christian music genre pages is that, well, they're not actually genres. They are notable scenes which need articles, but there isn't actually any difference between Christian metal and heavy metal aside from the lyrics. Yes, we need the article, but I don't feel it's appropriate to treat the subject as a seperate genre; the genre infoboxes from such articles should be removed, and the articles should focus on the scene.
