How treated merged teams? (e.g. Kintetsu Buffaloes for Oryx Buffaloes) -- Aphaia 02:57, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
For teams that were merged into a new entity, I'd keep standalone articles for the two merged franchises ending with the merge, and start an article on the new team beginning at the merge. For teams that were absorbed by a single other team, I'd keep one article for the absorbed team, terminating at the merger, and another for the absorbing team, both before and after that point. For teams that were dissolved and subsequently reconstituted, I'd keep all the information on one page, broken apart by secion headers, as long as the length isn't prohibitive. - Hit bull, win steak (Moo!) 15:24, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
I found an infobox that had already been made today, Template:NPB infobox. It seems to be based on Template:MLB infobox. I'm currently messing around with it to see if I can incorporate it into the articles. It looks better than the current template used. -- Borgarde talk 09:34, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
anyone know what happened to this? It seems the new template is not being used yet. I agree the one based on the MLB infobox is an improvement over the current infobox. Aepplet ( talk) 15:37, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
Please post resources for Japanese baseball related topics, thanks. -- Borgarde talk 12:11, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
Would it be possible to make tables for the current roster of each team, similar to the ones found on MLB teams' pages? I don't know too much about Japanese baseball, but it seems that many teams have a lot more players than in the MLB (e.g. Tokyo Yakult Swallows, who seem to have 35 pitchers), and I don't know if that would cause too much trouble for such a table. - CKHideki 19:18, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
It's done! Template:NPB roster, Example: Template:Chunichi Dragons roster, roster updates from [1], suggestions welcome! Aepplet ( talk) 09:34, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
If anyone on this Project is looking for a project, please add the annual final standings and play-off results to each " year in baseball" page. There is a page for each year that is supposed to be for baseball throughout the world, but it so far mainly focuses on US baseball. It would be much appreciated if someone could add Japanese baseball info to the pages. Regards.-- Old Hoss 04:04, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
I was surprised to see Bessho doesn't have an article so i'm creating one: User:Jmfangio/Takehiko Bessho. Does anyone here know how to do all the "translation stuff". In other words - i have no idea how to write/display his name in Japanese - could someone give me some help with that? Juan Miguel Fangio| ►Chat 07:19, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
I've created 2006 Nippon Professional Baseball season, and will expand it later tonight. I'm going to base it on the MLB season articles, for example 2006 Major League Baseball season. Any input from other users, or input to other seasons would be great. -- Borgarde talk 06:50, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
I just made an article on Yoshihisa Naruse; it's an incredibly brief stub at the moment. There's tons of content on the Japanese article that could be migrated over, but I know not a word of Japanese, so I cannot make sense of it at all. If anybody has some time and is interested though, just wanted to make sure that it was known to be here. matt91486 ( talk) 03:09, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
New articles: Kansai Independent Baseball League and Eri Yoshida, high-school girl drafted to play in the otherwise all-male professional league. Contributions welcome. Fg2 ( talk) 10:59, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
I've created basic season stub articles for all 12 teams for the 2009 Nippon Professional Baseball season. These are based on the MLB team season. See Template:2009 NPB season for links. I'll be updating the game logs as often as possible, and adding prose when I can, but I'm posting these here to let people know they exist. Also, I've included links to these pages on all the main team pages, following the existing structure of other baseball and sports teams. Borgarde ( talk) 17:04, 14 April 2009 (UTC)
Just to let you guys know, it looks like Posting system is this task force's first Featured Article! Let's keep growing the list. I think this topic as a lot of potential for some great FAs! -- Torsodog Talk 03:49, 25 May 2009 (UTC)

I'm working over on the Australian task force, and have been doing a lot with the Australia national baseball team article. In trying to get the article up to a similar standard to the other Australian sporting team articles, maybe even higher, I wanted to put in some reference to the current or most recent team. I knew there were roster templates, but none of the ones I found seemed quite right for an international team - most of them had references to disabled lists, transactions, etc. So I decided to create one of my own, located here. I've made everything I can think of in the template optional, so if they don't apply in certain circumstances, or aren't announced yet, they don't have to be specified:
If any of the above aren't used, then the template will adjust itself accordingly - at least as far as I can tell from my testing of it. Also, there are other optional elements:
I'm putting this on all 3 national task force pages (I know there are 4, but I don't think anyone else is active on the Australian one) so I can get some feedback - there's no international task force for baseball, and I've not gotten much interest when I've posted on the main project's talk page for international stuff. Assuming I get some positive responses I'll put it in the template namespace and we can start using it on national team pages, and maybe even for the tournament All Star teams that get selected at the WBC. Leave feedback here, or on my talk page, and let's see what happens. Thanks Afaber012 (talk) 08:27, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
I have an article started in my sandbox, but it is basically only a list of the MVP winners. Does anyone have any other info on the award, such as its history, stats and who votes on the players? Any possibly sources? -- Torsodog Talk 00:20, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
I have some questions at Talk:The Black Mist Scandal (Japanese baseball) if anybody can take a look -- AW ( talk) 03:10, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
User:DASHBot/Wikiprojects provides a list, updated daily, of unreferenced living people articles ( BLPs) related to your project. There has been a lot of discussion recently about deleting these unreferenced articles, so it is important that these articles are referenced.
The unreferenced articles related to your project can be found at >>> Wikipedia:WikiProject Baseball/Japanese baseball task force/Archive 1/Unreferenced BLPs<<<
If you do not want this wikiproject to participate, please add your project name to this list.
Thank you. Okip 02:45, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
