Explanation of personal attack

A good number of my opposes seem to be related to what people determine are personal attacks directed to Chacor, so I am going to take a moment to clear that up.

When I made the edit, I had no intent on attacking Chacor personally, or attacking anyone at all. I have since made apologies within the statement, on Chacor's talk page, within my RfA and directly on IRC. I have no grudges against Chacor, and am not attacking, or trying to attack him at all.

This issue is simply this:

  • I made a statement showing my disappointment to the reaction following an RfA, in which Chacor was involved. I stated that I had thought Chacor had gotten an attitude, I was wrong. This statement was interpreted as a personal attack, which it was NEVER meant to be. I again apologize to Chacor, for it being interpreted as such.
  • I made a sincere apology, which no one has questioned the sincerity of my apology.
  • People have said, I was heated during the edit. This is not correct, I was disappointed in the way it (the RfA) was being handled, but not heated.
  • This was not a personal attack, which I apologized for. It was never meant to be even misunderstood as one. The apology was for Chacor interpreting it as an attack.

I hope I have cleared up a few issues. Somitho 19:23, 6 February 2007 (UTC) reply
