Pokémon characters - We already have Category:Pokémon characters for this. All of the lists and individual articles should be in this cat, or a subcat.
Pokémon gym leaders - Category, maybe. Make it a subcategory of C:PC, if the consensus is that this merits a cat, but I don't think it does.
Kanto gym leaders - List article, heavy on section stubs with See Also links for characters who merit their own article (Brock, Misty, Giovanni, etc.
List of Johto Gym Leaders - Good thing someone was bold and made this. ;) If anyone breaks out, do the same as with Kanto.
That's how I see things breaking down. I don't think Gym Leaders or anime/manga/game deserve their own subcats; I can't see the C:PC having more than 50 standalone articles ever. -

Note that was a list of categories to make, not a list of articles for you to merge things to. And please, please don't change my comments around -- "be considerate" is an order of magnitude more important than be bold.

Lists and categories serve much the same purpose, for different types of information. Ofttimes a list can serve better than a category for a small set of topics even if those individual subjects have individual articles, particularly when the information is significantly more useful with an introduction to lend context, when the set is fairly small, and when each member in the set can be effectively summarized for quick reference. I'd say that describes sets of characters with defining attributes rather nicely.
As for rearranging, I thought PAC/Next was a proposal, not a page for dialogue, and that Wiki thinking (don't post it if you don't want it edited mercilessly) applied, as the comments were unsigned. I moved it to talk, and signed my version, so no attempt to appropriate your comments was intended. Indeed, no uncivility was intended by this at all, simply my thoughts in implementing structure. -

List of Articles
Right, I'm quite confused by the above so I think that we should make a list of articles we want about Pokémon on Wikipedia. Please add to this list.
List of Kanto Towns and Cities (and so forth for the other regions) or a merge with
Kanto (and so forth) might be the best idea, here, but the latter might bloat the region articles
I added some. Do
Meowth and
Meowth (anime character) need to be separate articles? I tagged them for merging earlier today, and I was going to do that when I got around to it.
Likewise, some of the main character links up there are somewhat...tenuous.
Professor Ivy is far from a main character, barring the creation of a gender-swapped Honeymooners-like Pokémon spinoff starring her and Brock. -

Er. Any reason for that? The places seem to be even less important than the people. All you can really say about them is where they are relative to other places, who lives there, and maybe what happened there. I don't see how you can get a full article out of that, without bloating the article with episode synopses. -

Where are they? Who lives there? What happened there? Why is it significant? There is much to say and looking at lots of the articles, they're quite substantial as is. --

I don't think
Pokémon stands much of a chance, seeing as it's so high-profile... articles that are edited very often don't get featured, as an article that is constantly changing does not represent "the best that Wikipedia can offer." With that in mind, I think that if PAC works on a game,
Pokémon Red and Blue is the way to go -- it started all of this, for pete's sake!
