Just out of curiosity, are there any criteria to split a discography article into "Albums discography" and "Singles discography"? I've been wondering about this for a while and don't know where else to ask. GustavoCza (

Agreed! Why do some artists have both their albums and singles discographies listed, while other artists, like Celine Dion, only have their singles discography listed and not their albums discography?

As with most split discussions, it typically comes down to size of the page.
Celine Dion's
albums and
singles discographies are both very long, so it makes sense to separate them. Meanwhile, other artists have discographies small enough that they can reasonably fit in a single page, or even a section of the artist's article. If a section gets too long, then consider splitting, so long as there is enough reliable coverage to justify the page.

Thank you for your response, but I’m sorry, I wasn’t very clear. On the list of Pop Discographies page that lists all the discographies of pop artists, why do some artists who have split discographies have both their albums and singles discographies listed, but others, like Celine Dion, only have their singles discography listed? Shouldn’t her album discography be listed too? I didn’t see a way to edit the page and add it.

@
TomGreene16 no, you shouldn't. First off, because I don't think the band is notable enough to have their own article and have started
an AfD to determine so. And secondly, because there's not enough information or sourcing in the band's article to justify moving anything out. Discography pages should be reserved for when the discography section of a band's article gets overwhelmingly large, and this is just a list of albums with release years and no other info. Far from overwhelming.

To be honest, it looks as though the changes they are making are correct. The biggest issue is that they aren't always following the MOS for formatting, but all their additions look to be real, not vandalism.
