This class focuses on the complex relationships between the digital and the political. It begins with an exploration of analytic groundwork for understanding the internet: conceptual, historical, and social-structural. It then moves on to three critical arenas: governance of the internet; internet intervention in political governance: and the dynamics of digitally mediated social movements.
Our Wikipedia assignment is to create course-relevant articles.

Article groups should divide up their major tasks.
A complete draft should be in your sandbox by the end of class today!
Every student has finished reviewing their assigned articles, making sure that every article has been reviewed.
You probably have some feedback from other students and possibly other Wikipedians. Consider their suggestions, decide whether it makes your work more accurate and complete, and edit your draft to make those changes.
Resources:
Now that you've improved your draft based on others' feedback, it's time to move your work live - to the "mainspace."

Now's the time to revisit your text and refine your work. You may do more research and find missing information; rewrite the lead section to represent all major points; reorganize the text to communicate the information better; or add images and other media.
Continue to expand and improve your work, and address any feedback after your article went live.
It's the final week to develop your article.
Everyone should have finished all of the work they'll do on Wikipedia, and be ready for grading.
Youth Activism and AlClear will present on Monday; Internet Militarization and Online Gender Based Violence, on Wednesday.
