This course offers an introduction to the academic study of religion by exploring the religious traditions of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. In the course, students will learn about: (1) the historical origins and developments of these three faiths and their communities, (2) the doctrines and practices of these faith communities, and (3) the changes and transformations within these faith communities over time and in response to social, cultural, political, and historical contexts.
