Suspected sockpuppets


Article Talos Holdings LLC and Draft:Talos Holdings LLC was created (Hellometa), edited (Likeme123) and later deleted as being promotional article, and immediately recreated with user (MNB9911) declaring a conflict of interest. This is amongst a raft of other spam-like articles with dubious references being identified. (That is being managed and explored separately). Let us deal with this first. Will be pre-CU time frame though needs to be noted.

It will interesting to see if we can identify CU data to see if we have a distributed network of editors, which I think that we may have, or we have a hub of activity within a range. Thanks. — billinghurst sDrewth 23:21, 22 January 2020 (UTC) reply

@ Bbb23: I filled out the ping in the template at creation time and the template specifically states not to sign. It would seem that a signature needs to directly follow a mention, not to be in the same edit as a signature. [Another lesson learnt about echo.] Thanks for your work here. To note that I think that we have a network of related editors and I think all working for the same organisation, though probably as independent contractors. Also to note that "Blue windy muso" and "Hellometa" edited the Peter Golding article in similar strings of edits. — billinghurst sDrewth 22:17, 23 January 2020 (UTC) reply

obvious puppet, showed up 2 weeks ago, welcoming other users, adding inappropriate maintenance templates all over the place and as soon as they got AC moved Draft:Talos Holdings LLC to mainspace (now at Draft:Talos Holdings) Praxidicae ( talk) 19:12, 3 March 2020 (UTC) reply

I thought perhaps it was just a coincidence that their username was so similar to HinaBB but the garbled english on my talk page combined with their interest in TNBC (see HinaBB's creation) leads me to believe this is yet more sock spam. They're also asking about This draft they've never edited, so I suspect there's a lot more to this upe farm. Praxidicae ( talk) 14:12, 7 April 2020 (UTC) reply

Also note (see diff on my talk page) that they both sign with a stray parenthesis [1]. Requesting CU as I suspect this is yet another paid farm and the last time we went through this, there were 57 accts. Praxidicae ( talk) 14:22, 7 April 2020 (UTC) reply
