This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on April 1, 2022.
- The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's
talk page or in a

- The result of the discussion was keep. Bbc1 is unambiguously redirecting to the protein. A discussion on the primary target or the proper title for
Bbc1 (disambiguation) can be had at that talk page.

Honestly, i think the target article of "Bbc1" (only B in uppercase) as 60S ribosomal protein L13 feels inaccurate due to all internet search typed to "Bbc1" saw nearly all of the results unrelated to the protein. This redirect should be deleted, or retargeted to correct article.

BBC1 is far more notable, can create
Bbc1 (protein) as a redirect to replace it

- Keep per Paradoctor and
WP:DIFFCAPS; everything at the dab page is written in capitals, where as this is the sole non-capitalised usage. Correct capitalisation should take priority over miscapitalisation.

reply
- DABify. I could reasonably see someone typing in "Bbc1" and looking for the channel just as much as I could see them looking for the protein. Rather than having to hatnote the page about the protein to a page on
BBC One (or vice-versa, which would be significantly odder), it makes sense to dabify when there is no primary topic. —

reply
- Retarget unless clearly disambiguated
BBC One is clear primary redirect, regardless of miscapitalisation or not. It then can created
Bbc1 (protein) as redirect replacement. Another option would be DABify in case of no primary topic.

- Keep per
WP:DIFFCAPS: having different targets for
bbc1 and
BBC1 is perfectly fine. It might be worth discussing the best title for
bbc1 (disambiguation), but that's a conversation for another place. -

- Keep per Eureka Lott. A
WP:RM discussion could consider whether there is no primary topic for the lowercase (i.e., consider moving the
Bbc1 (disambiguation) to
Bbc1).

This redirects to a section of a disambiguation page that does not even mention the subject; nor does it explain why it redirects to that section. I would much rather have a separate article about this subject to explain its usage in science, than have a confusing redirect to an abbreviation that explains nothing.

Redirect not mentioned on target page, could potentially refer to
London Electricity Board which was bought by EDF but unclear. Suggesting either a retarget to
North London Waste Authority, which runs a company called LondonEnergy, or
London Power, which is a gas and electricity provider.

- Keep, mention at target. Looks like this was an actual entity until being absorbed into EDF in 2006, when the redirect was created.
LondonEnergy is something different, and I think we can have both redirects differentiated by
WP:SMALLDETAILS as long as the version with the space is mentioned at the target. Retargeting to closely named but different entities is likely to just create confusion.

- Delete (once deprotected and tagged for RfD for the requisite 7 days). This was
brought to AfD where the close was to delete the page, but instead there was an attempt at a soft redirect to the harry potter wiki, which at some point became a mainspace redirect. Since the redirect is inappropriate and there was past consensus to delete the page, follow through with past consensus.

I discovered why this redirects here, but am unsure its utility. Apparently, the acronym stands for "One Big Happy Weasley Family", but it seems like non-canon term made-up by fans. Due to this, I'm not certain if this redirect helps in its utility by existing, especially to the lack of the mention of the acronym or the acronym's meaning in the article.

The page was first redirected to
Only Love (Shaggy song) initially, then changed to
Saturday Sun (Vance Joy song). Neither of these pages offer any information about the target Luca Schreiner. At this point, as none of those pages offer any further information about the subject substantial information other than a mention of a remix he produced, the redirect does not serve a proper purpose especially as there are multiple targets where the page could be redirected to. ≫

Religious debates over the Harry Potter series discusses the same topic, mentioning at least four events from the list, and most if not all censorship of Harry Potter has been on religious grounds, so I support a retarget there. If there's no consensus for a new target, this should be restored and sent to AfD, as its content pre-redirection was neither speedyable nor SNOWable. (Sidenote, I've un-redirected the talkpage, which contains some discussion and a note from the BLARing editor.) --

The outcome of
my one previous proposal at RfD — in which I proposed to retarget
hrwiki to
Croatian Wikipedia to match the pattern of
enwiki,
dewiki, etc. — showed me that the community values and supports suggestions to retarget
redirects from abbreviations to fit established practice. Furthermore, I learned in January that a page named
User talk:Keeper76, which has fallen out of use, has a redirect
WP:AN/K, and that the modern successor of this page
is said to be the page
User talk:Iridescent. Unfortunately,
Special:WhatLinksHere shows that this modern page has no such conveniently short shortcut as
WP:AN/K.
While I am too inexperienced an editor to understand exactly what the proper uses of these "User talk:" pages are, I trust the community will know how best they could be put to use if they were made more easily and memorably accessible by being given short and consistent shortcuts. Accordingly, I propose that
User talk:Iridescent be assigned the redirect
WP:AN/I. While this redirect does appear to be in use already, it is only for
Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents, so changing it should not inconvenience many editors; the small number of editors who want to visit that page will still be able to use the shortcut
WP:ANI, which is shorter than
WP:AN/I anyway.
