Delete While it is a line from a work in question we don’t need every line to be a redirect and I don’t believe being a meme that isn’t covered in the target article is enough of a justification for this one.--

The target has changed a few times recently. This is apparently an Arabic word for sword and the prior target
Scimitar includes this definition: "saif in Arabic can refer to any Middle Eastern (or North African, South Asian) sword, straight or curved". The current target (
Arab sword) also says the word means any sword, but is about a particular kind of Arabian sword - so perhaps not the best target. Another option is to handle this on the dab

MoveSaif (disambiguation) over the redirect. I might be more inclined to side with 力 if
Arab sword had been the longstanding target of this redirect before the recent changes, but it was not—it pointed to
Scimitar for almost 10 years. If this is indeed just the Arabic word for any sword, disambiguation seems like the best option. Note that
Arab sword will need to be added to
Saif (disambiguation), and perhaps
Scimitar should be too. --

I hope questions are appropriate here as I am confused. I have no concern with deleting this redirect, but I set up the redirect as it seemed odd to have a link to
Elena Litchman (Q61767356) as that is clearly not her name. Who/how would be the best way to get the original link changed to just be to
Elena Litchman? If someone points me in the correct direction, I can work on this but I am unclear as to where to start. Perhaps @
Pppery: can help?

DaffodilOcean I'm not totally sure I fully understand your question (i.e., where did you see the link to her name with the wikidata number appear) but for what it's worth, I've just merged item Q61767356 into item
Q107349014, which is the one that's currently connected to the article (see top right). Wikidata is mainly populated by bots, so duplicate creations of items like this are prone to happen sometimes. In
the discussion I linked above there's talk of a bot [...] creating a list of missing articles with links that include a Q1234567 style number, so if you saw the link in such an automatically generated list of missing articles, assuming links of this kind are still being generated, the easiest way to handle this is to just ignore them in the future. Hope this was helpful. AngryHarpytalk13:50, 21 August 2021 (UTC)reply
I've clicked the "Update the list now" link on that page, and it no longer links to this redirect. But that's all irrelevant, because past consensuses have established that these redirects should not exist, even if they are being linked to by a bot-generated list.

Delete: The Wikidata numbers aren't plausible search terms for these people. What we need to do is update the links in Wikidata-generated lists, rather than creating redirects with the Wikidata Q numbers.
