If you're interested in taking a look at some of the issues around how wikipedia deals with some of its biographies of living people - please consider taking a look at
WP:OPTOUT - which describes a system which might allow us to remove articles more easily in areas where we can't seem to adequately guarantee an appropriate level of responsibility.
The proposal is currently not accepted by the wider community, and will no doubt take quite some time in gaining enough ground to be enshrined as policy. Well, time and perhaps an external event which might bring this issue into sharper focus - there's a bit of precedent there in terms of how wiki evolution works!!
If you've taken a look, then signing below not only shows your support for such a proposal, but might help a wiki effort in communicating the benefits of such an approach to a wider audience, and maybe help communication wiki-wide in increasing our overall responsibility. It's possible that a page like this could be used as some sort of noticeboard to inform interested users, and parties, in discussions such as the various debates about whether or not to delete an article. If consensus, and general helpful wiki editing, moves in this helpful direction, then we can consider an appropriate 'mainspace' location.
Feedback, thoughts and ideas most welcome on the talk page, and I'd encourage you to sign your 'support' below!
