I'll be back again before it's time for sunny down. I'll be
lazing on a Sunday afternoon.
Bicycling on every Wednesday evening! Thursday, I go
waltzing to the
zoo.
I come from a London town, I'm just an

Fridays, I go

Slightly modified lyrics from

Question I know I'm new to this area, but I must admit I am curious as to how 5 opposes compared with 2 supports counts as "No consensus"? Especially as the rather unfortunate double meaning could potentially land us in hot water with the community. (BTW - I oppose because of the afore mentioned double meaning)

- Weak oppose and Suggestion - I oppose this partly per
Kayau, stubs are not likely to make it to FA status, partly because too many mottos link to FA and partly because I don't see how the first line has anything to do with the second, it saying don't vandalise while the second is saying take a stub and edit it dramatically until it's improved. Perhaps the first line should be taken out. As for the second line, I would suggest that the link for sad song is replaced with
Wikipedia:Requested articles,
Wikipedia:Articles for creation or
Wikipedia:Most wanted articles instead of just
WP:STUB. I like the idea of having
WP:DEV for either make or better.

This is something that happens to us all, for example in the See also or External links sections when you click on Wikiquote or Commons templates, and on the Wikipedia's sister projects section at the bottom of the main page here in the English Wikipedia. - Comment - I have to disagree a bit on this one. I won't decide whether to support or oppose yet; I'd like to see what others think first.
- 'Wizardry' is not the most positive thing I've ever heard of. Especially since they used to burn witches in Scotland.
- I really can't see how rollback is sorcery, or adminship is electricity. I don't know what thermatology is, though. The closest words I can think of are the words related to hear (thermometer, etc) and the Battle of Thermopylae.
- I don't understand what
WP:NOTNOW is 'master of all these'.
- And, well, consensus, article development, rollback, WikiProjects and admins are not the five pillars of Wikipedia...

Comment I thought it might tell a little tale - a new admin learning how to delete (hence the link to New Admin School/Deleting), and ended up making a bit of a mess. I see what you mean with the link not working quite right though. I think that is more down to directly linking to the page rather than going through the shortcut first. Viewing through pop ups don't help either. I'll try again

- The commonly known verse is "God created man in his own image"; in other words our articles should always reflect consensus. So if you have a really POV article (WP:POV doesn't link to NPOV, or I would have done that), you have forced consensus into your own little view of what the article should be, and it should be the other way around. It's a bit weird. If you can suggest better links, please do so.

Simon
KSK 14:01, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry, Spitfire, I just can't resist.OK, here are some of the points about why Einstein's quote makes sense.
- Humans did not start to eat meat until one of those Ice Ages. Our bodies (long guts, blunt teeth) are still designed to eat veggies. Please see
T. Colin Campbell's studies for further information. Meat is one of the main causes of heart attack and a few types of cancer too.
- The modern livestock industry is very wasteful. This is because the increasing population means mass and industrial production of meat, which is not only cruel to the animals and the environment, but wastes a lot of food as well. If meat is cut off for all people in the world, then nobody will starve. (It can still support the current population, though of course this might change in the future.) And guess what? Not enough food means W-A-R.
- While carbon dioxide is the main greenhouse gas, it a) is less powerful than methane and laughing gas, which are mostly from the livestock industry and b) hangs around in our atmosphere for a very long time, so even if we stop emitting CO2 now, change won't come for years. Not to mention that the livestock industry of the twenty-first century produces a lot of water pollution AND wastes massive amounts of electricity. And if we don't protect the environment, you know what will happen: W-A-R.
- I hope you understand what Einstein is trying to say now.

It's been lying on my UP for some time. I finally have the pleasure of bringing it to the MOTD.

I'm iffy about this. The links are generic, so some suggestions would be very welcome.

- Weak oppose - between the links being generic and the fact that honestly I just don't like the lyric, I have to oppose. Somehow I don't associate "sickest rhyme of my life" with an FA.

- If you don't like that, I'm just glad I didn't put a obscene Nas quote instead of this one. XD.

Yeah, I probably wouldn't have liked that. But that's why I weak opposed - I'm not totally arguing on the linking, but also a personal preference. I don't really like rock (or whatever Eminem is), so that factors into it.

- LOL, Eminem is rap. I mostly focus on music quotes, because music is my thing. I personally think Eminem makes some powerful lyrics.

- To each his own! I'm more of a
Tchaikovsky and
Dan Forrest person myself! I'm not saying that I might not be okay with some of his lyrics, but I'd rather not go through all of them to find the ones I would like.

Weak Support (I prefer edit 1) ~ I think that "sickest" here means "the best", "the most excellent", but it is not easy to understand. –

- Yes, it does, but it shouldn't be that hard to understand seeing as most of the crappy song s on the radio constantly say "yo, that's sick" and stuff like that.

- You should know, not everyone here is American (I presume you are because you said the beatles are 'freaking awesome') so not everyone knows that meaning of 'sick'.

Edit 1. I liked the original but came up with this variation... seems a little more appropriate, but maybe not... --
