The result of the debate was speedy keep (without prejudice to archiving); inappropriate nomination. Please see User:Carcharoth's for rationale. This page is part of a large, active WikiProject, and since no harm or contravention of Wikipedia policies has been demonstrated there is no need to delete. Should it ever be no longer needed, the project itself will archive it or ask for it's deletion. -- kingboyk 21:54, 26 July 2007 (UTC) reply

  • OpposeKeep - Biography project is working toward a more formal system, with a potential coordinator of biography collaboration. Depending on how things turn out, I might not object to deletion later, or might even propose it myself. John Carter 00:44, 26 July 2007 (UTC) reply
  • Keep - this has potential. Please realise that not everything is a choice between keep and delete. There are more subtle and nuanced choices. Marking as inactive, merging with other projects, restarting, improving. For any project that has had some discussion and has produced some results deletion is almost never called for. In cases where there has been discussion, but not much has been done, the discussion can be archived without prejudice to restarting discussions in the future. If you are worried about inactive WikiProjects hindering future development of a WikiProject, archive to wipe the slate clean, and start from scratch. Don't just delete. Let anyone who wants to restart the project learn from past mistakes. Carcharoth 01:51, 26 July 2007 (UTC) reply
