Offensive userboxes that violate
WP:POLEMIC (“Very divisive or offensive material not related to encyclopedia editing”) and
WP:UBCR (“Userboxes must not be inflammatory or divisive”). Advocacy of fascism does not seem appropriate on this encyclopedia, and
similar fascist infoboxes have been deleted. ToaNidhiki0514:22, 10 July 2019 (UTC)reply
Delete. Per WP:POLEMIC and a violation of WP:UBCR which says Wikipedia is not an appropriate place for propaganda, advocacy, or recruitment of any kind, commercial, political, religious, or otherwise, opinion pieces on current affairs or politics, self-promotion, or advertising.Britishfinance (

Keep - If we're going to allow political expression on userpages, we shouldn't be in the business of deciding which political views are acceptable. –

Delete. While there is no bright-line, I believe this is solidly in violation of
WP:UBCR. There is no slippery slope any more than deleting PROMO articles is a slippery slope, and we don't have to host these userboxes any more than we need PROMO and non-NCORP articles because we have articles on companies.

Keep. Political expression must be treated universally. Either ban all kinds of political expression or allow them all. Merely listing ones political stance is not a polemic. Offense is subjective and cannot be the standard for a decision like this. --

Keep "Italian Fascist" and "Francoist", Delete "Neo-Fascist" for using
recognized hate symbol in combination with "neo" and "fascist" - far too disruptive. It basically becomes an advocacy of racial violence and is like flashing "I want to murder you" in the face of unwitting visitors to the user page. The others should be kept because they don't rise to the level of obviously supporting Naziism and the problem of a slippery slope, arbitrariness, and a popularity contest.

Comment Reminder that this is
not a vote and that person opinions over whether or not all political infoboxes should be allowed do not matter here. The question is whether or not these inboxes violate existing policy. ToaNidhiki0502:08, 23 July 2019 (UTC)reply
Delete. I strongly believe that we should delete all POV userboxes. Whether about politics, feminism, the environment, sports, favourite TV shows or whatever, it is a flagrant breach of
WP:NOTSOAPBOX which should have been ended long ago. Sadly, it has now gone too far to rein in easily, so every time that anything like that is proposed there are howls of outrage, mostly based on a misrepresentation of
WP:USERPAGE as allowing a free-for-all.
