Swaraj is my birth right and I shall have it! ( | talk | history | links | watch | logs)

It was a very short article, created yesterday, about an English translation of a Marathi quote attributed to Bal Gangadhar Tilak, a 20th-century Indian independence activist. Since the quote was not independently notable in my view and duplicated the existing content, I redirected it to Bal Gangadhar Tilak. However, given that quotes generally belong at Wikiquotes, I propose to delete the article/redirect from Wikipedia. — kashmīrī  TALK 12:07, 15 November 2021 (UTC) reply

Procedural Close, wrong venue. @ Kashmiri: This belongs at either WP:Articles for deletion or WP:Redirects for discussion, article space pages cannot be deleted here. Persoanally I would restore the article and AFD it, since the regulars at RFD do not like deleting redirects with substantial recent history as an article. (also you tagged the wrong page). 163.1.15.238 ( talk) 12:43, 15 November 2021 (UTC) reply
Thank you. I have no experience with XfD other than AfD, so apologies for the wrong venue and thank you for the advice. BTW, tagging was done automatically by Twinkle, didn't cross my mind to double-check it. — kashmīrī  TALK 13:46, 15 November 2021 (UTC) reply
