Come one, come all, to a Wikipedia Workshop (a low-key edit-a-thon) at Arizona State University.
No Wikipedia editing experience is necessary. If you are new to Wikipedia, please create a user account. You can also get started or review your knowledge by watching these Art + Feminism Training Videos or this training module. Refreshments will be provided. Everyone is welcome. Women editors, artists of color and diverse gender expression, are particularly encouraged to attend.
If you are attending, please add your user name below with # ~~~~. If you are new to Wikipedia, please RSVP on the Eventbrite page. Once you have an account, please sign in below to get an attendee list. Thanks!
There are a number of great lists complied by other organizations and/or for previous Wikipedia events. Please browse through the links and lists below for articles to create or improve. Remember: Before creating a new article, do a thorough search incase the article was created with slightly different formatting.
Women in Red (WiR) is a WikiProject whose objective is to turn "redlinks" into blue ones within the project scope: women's biographies and works by women. They have missing articles about women listed by geography, occupation, nationality, date, and more.
Black Lunch Table's task list is made up of visual artists of the African Diaspora who are under-represented on Wikipedia.
This is a list started for this event. It is a crowd-sourced list - please help by adding to it! Local is open to broad interpretation, as is artist and designer. Please add in alphabetical order.
