The Gastroenterology task force of WikiProject Medicine aims to better organize information in articles related to Gastroenterology. Gastroenterology is the branch of medicine dealing with diseases of the
liver and
digestive tract. If you would like to help, please inquire on the

increase the quality of the current articles on gastroenterology topics by increasing their medical content while keeping them accessible to individuals with no specialty medical knowledge
facilitate the creation of new articles on topics in gastroenterology and hepatology
ensure that articles created on gastroenterology topics are well referenced, including the insertion of up-to-date links to the most recent literature
maintain consistency per
WP:MOS on gastroenterology articles
increase the number of
endoscopic images attached to articles
produce gastroenterology-themed
featured articles based on the above
include both traditional and complementary and alternative medicine therapies for gastrointestinal illness, with appropriate focus based on the evidence

Rectal discharge sorry, but I have really lost interest in this page. It looks terrible atm. I feel it is an important sign/symptom and so included it in Template:Digestive system and abdomen symptoms and signs, which no-one seemed to argue with. My main sources are on the talk page

The template for marking an article as part of the Gastroenterology task force is part of the WikiProject Medicine banner, {{WPMED}}. It can be inserted into an article's talkpage with:
The first "importance" parameter is the subject's importance to the overall field of medicine, according to the guidelines
here. The importance of a subject to the field of gastroenterology should be listed with the "gastroenterology-imp" parameter.
