• The claim that this editor is a "non-contributor" is simply not true. This is a new account which has made improvements to articles and other good faith edits. Making such a claim against a new account is not very welcoming. The regardless of the image quality, it is in use on the editor's user page which is allowed and not out of scope. @ Gfeissweet: If you really want the image deleted, you can tag it with {{ db-author}}, but otherwise, use of a personal picture on a user page is within policy, and is in fact done quite a lot. My opinion is to keep this image unless the uploader decides they no longer want to use it on their use page, but it is up to them. -- Whpq ( talk) 19:43, 16 October 2023 (UTC) reply

@ Iruka13: It's unclear, since this photo was made in 1971, and it's a government work, so crown copyright (if it's called that in Pakistan) probably applies. Several commonwealth countries, like the UK, release crown copyright into the public domain, meaning URAA doesn't apply. However, it is unclear whether this phenomenon applies to Pakistan. • @ Matr1x-101: Hello. While WP:test edit does not elaborate a lot, it does say Editing tests are considered vandalism only when a user continues to make test edits despite receiving numerous warnings. As general rule of thumb, test edits out of sandbox are allowed to some extent. The edit/page in discussion was a legitimate test/experimental edit which did not harm anything else, so it is not exactly considered as "test edit" in conventional manner. Creating this on enwiki was not my first priority/option. On Marathi wikipedia (mrwiki), uploading images is not allowed anymore. There are however a lot of images, they were uploaded when it was possible in the past. Most of them were non-free images of film posters. There was a consensus to create a bot to resize these images. But as image addition/manipulation was limited only to admnins, my bot could not do it on mrwiki. For some technical reasons, it was not possible on testwiki either. So I had to do it here. The experiment was namespace sensitive, so I could not carry it out in any sandbox either. The page was not on my watchlist, so I did not realise it was nominated for deletion for the first time. I also rarely check the talkpage of my bot.
